'Chronic Bandit' Strikes Again At A Downtown Chicago Bank

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man believed to have robbed the same Loop bank four times apparently has chosen a new bank.

The suspect dubbed the "Chronic Bandit" robbed the U.S. Bank branch at 360 N. Michigan Ave. Friday morning.

The suspect – described as an African-American in his 50s -- approached the teller window and passed a note to the teller announcing a robbery, the FBI said. The robber implied he had a weapon, although none was seen.

He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators think he's the same man who robbed the Chicago Community Bank, 52 E. Lake St., on four separate occasions, beginning in August.

Anyone having any information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at (312) 421-6700, or the Chicago Police Department.
