AURORA (CBS) — Two of the three adult children of an Aurora woman face a preliminary hearing in Kane County Tuesday–where they are accused of felony neglect of their elderly mother.
WBBM’s Newsradio’s Steve Miller reports, the state’s attorney in Kane County says the children of a 77-year-old woman failed to see to it their mother was fed–or bathed.
And that when she was finally taken to the hospital earlier this month, she had a three-inch deep open wound on her lower back.
Her right leg was black from gangrene–and had to be amputated.
The woman has been hospitalized.
Her three adult children are charged with criminal neglect. All three–two sons and a daughter–are being held on $250,000 bond each.
A preliminary hearing is set Tuesday for 54-year-old Alan Roberson and 42-year-old Kevin Roberson.
