T.O. Chicago Bound?

(WSCR) Veteran NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens has made it clear he wants to play football again.

But does it have to be in the NFL?

The Chicago Rush, an Arena Football League team, announced Wednesday they had offered a contract to the 37-year-old wide receiver.

"We feel that this is an ideal time to approach the future NFL Hall of Famer," Rush general manager and president Gene Nudo said in a statement. "It would be a fantastic honor to add Terrell to our current roster for the 2012 season."

Owens conducted a private workout for NFL teams on Tuesday, but not a single team showed up to check out the aging receiver. He's recovering from a torn ACL suffered last spring and says he's ready to return after making 72 receptions for 983 yards and nine touchdowns for the Bengals in 2010.
