Hillenmeyer Doesn't Know What's Going On With Bears

(WSCR) One day after former Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer took to Twitter to tell the world how he felt about  Jerry Angelo's decision to cut Chris Harris, he joined The Mully and Hanley Show to discuss his comments.

"Here's my take, and obviously, that was mostly (me being defensive) for a friend of mine that I hate to see go, Hillenmeyer said. "But Chris is a smart guy. Chris probably knows that he hasn't played probably the way that he wanted to play this year. Regardless of the decision to cut Chris, from the outside -- and I am an outsider now, I don't know exactly what's going on in the locker room every day -- he starts off the season on the list of guys that are supposed to be re-uped for a contract. Everybody's talking about a big year and that we gotta take care of our own. He goes from starter to injury to, while he's hurt, people are saying, 'Wait until we get Chris Harris back' and then he comes back and starts and the next week, he's cut. It's not necessarily that you can't be wrong about a player and choose to cut your losses, but that just sends the most mixed of messages. I don't know what's going on over there."
