Linda Blair In Town For 'Exorcist' Screenings

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Linda Blair, the child star of "The Exorcist," is in town for screenings of the 1973 film.

WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser caught up with her in a hallway café in the Merchandise Mart, where they ate pea soup and talked about the iconic horror film. Well, they didn't really eat pea soup.

Did Blair ever imagine, nearly four decades later, that she would still be talking about the film?

"I actually, a few years ago, figured out I think I'll be talking about it the rest of my life," she said.

Blair says she came to terms long ago with the fact that she would be forever best known for "The Exorcist."

But why is the film still so popular to this day?

"Well, you might as well ask the audience, and ask everybody else," Blair said. "They're the ones who watch the movie, and I want to say why, because it's one of the best well-made films in history. It's an iconic piece."

You can meet Linda Blair at the Hollywood Palms in Naperville on Friday and Saturday night and the Hollywood Boulevard in Woodridge on Sunday and Monday.
