(WSCR) Tony La Russa may be out as the Cardinals manager, but he may not be out of baseball.

Phil Rogers of the Chicago Tribune poses the idea of La Russa heading back to the South Side to work as a special advisor for Jerry Reinsdorf and the White Sox. La Russa managed under Reinsdorf for the White Sox in the 80’s.

“I think it would have to be for an owner I know, like Reinsdorf, the Haas family, the people here (in St. Louis),’’ La Russa said. “Those are the owners I’ve known, the ones I’d want to make happy.’’
