Starkey: Sandusky Gave 2007 Commencement Speech

(WSCR) Former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was selected in 2007 to be the featured speaker at the commencement ceremony for Penn State's College of Health and Human Development.

Joe Starkey of KDKA radio joined The Mully and Hanley Show to discuss Sandusky's speech.

"It was the same guy who, in 2002, had been alleged to have committed a heinous act at the football facility right on campus, a few hundred yards away from where he was now delivering the commencement speech," Starkey said. "Also, the same guy who had been banned from bringing children onto campus in 2002 by the athletic director, in a move that was then ratified by the now-fired school president, Graham Spanier. It was Jerry Sandusky."
