Mullin: Cutler Coming Into His Own

(WSCR) At the end of the 2010 season, critics rallied against Jay Cutler, questioning his toughness and his leadership abilities.

This season, however, the Bears have had a different quarterback under center. Cutler has passed for nearly 2,000 yards this season, with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.

"To me, you're watching a franchise quarterback grow into himself," John "Moon" Mullin of Comcast Sportsnet told The McNeil and Spiegel Show on Thursday. "I think the leadership... He seems much more comfortable, and he has since the beginning of training camp, just within his own skin. ... He's a better football player than he was two years ago, and with that has come a quiet confidence."
