Man Caught Making Bogus 911 Calls In Boxers At Subway Shop

SANDWICH, Ill. (CBS) -- Police in Sandwich, Ill., arrested a middle-aged man in a Subway sandwich shop in broad daylight over the weekend, after they found him standing in his boxers as he made inappropriate calls to 911.

Police were called to the Subway restaurant at 400 E. Church St. in Sandwich at 12:52 p.m. Sunday on reports that an intoxicated man was wearing only boxer shorts inside the eatery, according to a release from Sandwich police.

Police say Larry Bebo, 52, was also calling 911 and playing loud music into the phone without speaking or indicating there was an emergency, the release said.

Bebo, of Sandwich, was charged with disorderly conduct for misusing 911, the release said. A Subway employee signed a criminal complaint for an additional charge of disorderly conduct.

He was unable to post bond and taken to the DeKalb County Jail, the release said.
