Man Found Dead In Front Of McKinley Park Home

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man found face down in the grass in front of his McKinley Park neighborhood home early Friday died of cirrhosis of the liver and his death was natural, an autopsy found.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified the man as 59-year-old Don Manukunas of 3756 W. Hermitage St. An autopsy found he died of cirrhosis of the liver from chronic alcoholism and his death was ruled natural, the medical examiner's office said.

Police said a woman called 911 after finding the man lying face down in the grass in front of his home. THe medical examiner's office said the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:25 a.m.

A source said the man had apparently gotten into an verbal argument with a neighbor earlier in the day. It's unclear whether the woman who found him is the woman he fought with.
