Bears Waive LB Brian Iwuh

(CBS) Bears linebacker Brian Iwuh has been waived by the team and linebacker Patrick Trahan has been elevated to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Iwuh broke the news himself on Twitter Tuesday and the Bears made the official announcement early in the afternoon. The linebacker suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Raiders. If he clears waivers, the Bears will have to work out a settlement with the injured linebacker.

Iwuh currently leads the Bears with 14 special teams tackles. He also provided linebacker depth.

Trahan has spent the last two seasons on the practice squads of the Titans and Bears. He has yet to play in an NFL regular season game.
