Lovie: No QBs Will Be Signed
(CBS) Bears head coach Lovie Smith shot down rumors saying the team would look into adding another quarterback.
Reports surfaced Monday indicating the Bears would talk to free agent quarterback Donovan McNabb. Another report even said Brett Favre might be interested in joining the Bears if the team was interested.
Don't expect either of those things to happen, however.
"No," Smith said when asked about adding another quarterback. "We have our quarterbacks here now. There are quarterbacks here, we have two of them. We really have three of them and another one is rehabbing and will come back, hopefully, this year."
