(WSCR) White Sox GM Kenny Williams finally admitted what everyone else all ready knew: The White Sox are rebuilding.

After trading away Sergio Santos to the Blue Jays in exchange for a Double-A prospect in Nestor Molina, it’s clear the White Sox are looking to bolster their depleted farm system.

“They do need to rebuild that system,” Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus told The Boers and Bernstein Show. “They need to blow things up kind of as much as possible. When you try to be both competitive and rebuilding, you tend to fail at both. You have to do one or the other. The White Sox aren’t in a position to content, so they have to rebuild. That’s going to come with these kinds of trade.”
