Teen Boy Dead, Woman Seriously Wounded In Albany Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A teenage boy is dead, and a young woman was left seriously injured, following a shooting in the Albany Park neighborhood Monday evening.
The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Montrose Avenue, near Albany Avenue, police said.
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the back and was dead upon arrival at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to Fire Media Affairs. A 20-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks and taken in serious condition.
Patrons of a nearby restaurant say they dove to the ground when the gunfire began.
No one inside was injured.
