Report: Sandusky Still Coached After Failing Background Check

(WSCR) New reports indicate that Jerry Sandusky coached at D-III Juniata College in central Pennsylvania even though he failed a preliminary background test.

According to a report from WPH TV, the check did not specify that a grand jury was looking into allegations that Sandusky had committed acts of sex abuse against children, and Juniata officials were initially credited for having done their due diligence by denying Sandusky's application.

The report alleges, however, that two Juniata College football players said that Sandusky was actively involved with the program in 2010, even though his volunteer coaching application was rejected because a background check revealed he was being investigated at a Clinton County High School.

"I hear people saying, 'I'm glad the school did the right thing; not having (Sandusky) around my son,'" said one player. "He was around your son...very much so. He was around your son the entire football season."
