CHICAGO (CBS) — Early morning rush hour traffic was tied up downtown Monday, after a pickup truck slammed into a taxi at Columbus Drive and Roosevelt Road.

As CBS 2’s Kris Habermehl reports, the two-vehicle rear-end crash happened during the 6 a.m. hour on northbound Columbus Drive just before the intersection with Roosevelt Road.

The back end of the Yellow cab was smashed in after being hit by the quad cab pickup truck.

One lane of Columbus Drive was shut down, and traffic had to go around the accident scene.

A fire vehicle was sent to the scene, but no major injuries were reported.
