Family members had not heard from Perry since Monday, and asked police to go to her apartment to check on her.

Perry's body had obvious signs of trauma, according to Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli. Police believe she was murdered, and targeted personally.

"There's no danger to the public," Ferrelli said. "Like we say, we believe that she was targeted particular instance. This was not a random act of violence."

Ferrelli says police are "still trying to ascertain what her exact living arrangements were."

He says police have several leads in the case.

An autopsy on Perry's body is scheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Kane County Coroner's Office.

Meanwhile, Aurora police ask that anyone with information about the alleged should call Aurora police at (630) 256-5500, or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
