Report: Cubs Close To Trading Marshall To Reds

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Cubs are reportedly close to sending lefty reliever Sean Marshall to the Cincinnati Reds for lefty starter Travis Wood and at least one, perhaps two, minor league players.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the deal won't be made official until the exact players are agreed upon and they pass physical examinations.

Marshall is a year away from free agency, while Wood would be under the Cubs' control through 2016.
