Report: Watson Likely Out For Tuesday

(CBS) After injuring his left elbow in Sunday's home opener, guard C.J. Watson is likely out for Tuesday's matchup against the Hawks.

"That would be my guess," head coach Tom Thibodeau told the Tribune. "It's a sprain. (Athletic trainer) Fred (Tedeschi) saw him this morning and the swelling isn't too bad. He'll be day-to-day basically."

With such quick turn around this season, it's unclear as to just how many games Watson will miss. While he is out, however, John Lucas III will act as Derrick Rose's replacement.

Lucas had eight points and two assists in the Bulls home opener Sunday.

Richard Hamilton, who missed Sunday's game with a groin injury, returned to shooting drills Monday. He will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest.
