Latest Chicago Weather Forecast

CHICAGO (CBS) -- January? What January?

After one day of frigid, wintry conditions Tuesday, temperatures have risen to the upper 30s Wednesday. Conditions are expected to remain calm with mostly sunny skies and a high of 38.

On Wednesday night, look for the low to drop to 29, only to rebound to an unseasonable 46 degrees with west-southwest winds and mostly sunny skies Thursday.

The high Friday tops out at 47, and some places could see 50 degrees, reports CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros.

The high drops again to the lower 40s for Saturday and the upper 30s for Sunday. But temperatures will remain above normal for the rest of the coming week, and nary a drop or flake of precipitation is in the seven-day forecast.
