WINFIELD, Ill. (CBS) — A crash blocked busy County Farm Road in Winfield early Friday, but the driver of a demolished car did not appear to be seriously injured.

As CBS 2’s Kris Habermehl reports, the crash happened on southbound County Farm Road near Jewel Road, on the cusp of Winfield and Carol Stream.

A car and a pickup truck collided sometime before 6 a.m.

A car was totaled in the crash, and was left blocking southbound County Farm Road. One lane had reopened by 6:19 a.m.

But the driver was able to walk out of the car, and was led to an ambulance on foot by paramedics.

The driver of the pickup truck was also believed only to be “shaken up,” Habermehl reported.
