Two Injured In Separate Shootings On South Side

CHICAGO (STMW) - Two men were injured in separate shootings about two miles apart on the South Side on Wednesday afternoon.

The first shooting happened about 4:10 p.m. in the 600 block of West 70th Street in the Hamilton Park neighborhood, police said. A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition.

About 25 minutes later, a 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks in the 6800 block of South Marshfield in the Englewood neighborhood. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody for the shootings.
