Report: Raiders Want To Interview Tice For Head Coach

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Mike Tice was recently named Bears offensive coordinator, but it's possible he could be headed somewhere else, as the Raiders reportedly want to interview him for their head coaching vacancy.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Oakland has sought permission to interview Tice for the job and, unlike when they blocked secondary coach Jon Hoke from interviewing for the Vikings' defensive coordinator job, the Bears cannot block Tice from meeting with the Raiders.

Tice was named the Bears' offensive coordinator on Jan. 6, three days after Mike Martz resigned.

Tice was previously head coach of the Vikings from the end of the 2001 season until 2005.
