Man Robs Romeoville Bank

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (STMW) -- Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a southwest suburban bank while claiming he had a gun Thursday afternoon.

The PNC Bank at 495 N. Weber Rd. was robbed about 2:20 p.m., a release from Romeoville police said. The man gave the teller a note which said he had a gun and demanded money.

Money was given to the man, who never showed a gun. He fled the bank heading southeast.

He's described as a white man, 20 to 25, 5-foot-6, 175 pounds with short black hair.
