2 Banks Robbed, Three Robbers On The Loose

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (STMW) -- Three bank robbers are on the loose, including a man who wore a paintball mask to rob a northwest suburban bank Friday afternoon and another wanted for sticking up a Logan Square bank an hour later.

Surveillance images of the 12:30 p.m. robbery at the TCF Bank in the 1400 block of Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows show one of the men on top of the teller counter.

The FBI says a bank employee was assaulted and received minor injuries.

One of the men was Hispanic, between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-6 with a thin build. He wore a black paintball mask, black cap, black jacket, gray pants and black shoes, the FBI said.

The other man is Hispanic, between 20 and 25, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot with a medium build. He was wearing a black bandana on his face, a black puffy winter coat, blue jeans, black shoes with white soles and used a small black backpack with drawstring.

No weapon was shown in that robbery.

About an hour later in the Northwest Side Logan Square neighborhood, a man robbed a Northern Trust bank branch in the 2800 block of West Fullerton Avenue, police said. The man implied he had a weapon but didn't show one and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
