Man Shot Dead At Party In Lawndale

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 34-year-old man was shot dead early Sunday after having an argument at a party in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.

The man became involved in a verbal argument with a male while attending a party in the 1900 block of South Lawndale Avenue at 1:06 a.m., police said.

The male produced a handgun and shot the man in the chest and leg before fleeing, police said.

Anthony Linnear, of an unknown home address, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
