DCFS Investigating Death Of Infant In Glenwood

CHICAGO (STMW) - The state Department of Children and Family Services is investigating allegations of neglect against the parents of a three-week-old boy who was found unresponsive Tuesday at his south suburban Glenwood home.

Brandon William, Jr., 3 weeks, was found unresponsive in his home, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

DCFS is investigating allegations of neglect against the mother and father, said agency spokesman Kendall Marlowe.

The agency has not had prior contact with the family, Marlowe said. There are no other children in the home.

William was pronounced dead at St. James Hospital and Health Center in Chicago Heights at 4:11 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
