3 Teens Shot In Marquette Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three teenage boys were shot Tuesday afternoon in the Marquette Park neighborhood.

WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller reports one of the victims, possibly a 19-year-old man, was wounded in the chest and back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, fire officials say.

The other two teens were reportedly shot in the arm, and were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition.

Police say the victims were all found in the same general area, but not exactly the same location. One was found shot at 70th and Rockwell streets, the second was found a few doors down in the street, and the third about a block away at 69th Street and Washtenaw Avenue.

The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m., police said.
