Man Shot During Robbery In Bronzeville Alley

CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was shot while being robbed Friday night in an alley in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.

A 26-year-old man was walking through an alley in the 3900 block of South King Drive at 11:49 p.m. when an unknown male approached with a gun and demanded money, police said.

The two struggled and the man was shot in the index finger on his left hand, police said.

He walked into Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.

No one was in custody early Saturday and Area Central detectives are investigating.
