Baby Dead In Cicero; Authorities Probe Possible Neglect
CICERO, Ill. (CBS) -- A 2-month-old girl from Cicero is dead, and now her family is facing allegations of neglect.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says Jayleen Tellez was found unresponsive on a bed at her home in the 1300 block of 57th Court in Cicero on Sunday.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is investigating Jayleen's family for neglect, but the agency has not had prior contact with any family members, according to spokesman Jimmie Whitelow.
Tellez was pronounced dead at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn at 9:32 a.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner's office.
