Bensenville Bank Robbed; Police Release Surveillance Image

BENSENVILLE, Ill. (STMW) -- A man robbed a Chase Bank branch Monday afternoon in northwest suburban Bensenville.

Bensenville police received a call of an armed robbery at the bank at 123 W. Main St. about 11:45 a.m., police said in a release.

Bank employees said a man entered the bank alone and presented a note demanding money, the release said. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money and he left in an unknown direction, police said.

Police described the robber as a white man between 40 and 45, 6 feet to 6-foot-3 with a medium build. He wore a gray sweater and gray running pants with vertical blue stripes.
