Man Shot In Abdomen On NW Side, Woman In Custody
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the abdomen Saturday afternoon in the Northwest Side Irving neighborhood -- and police have a female suspect in custody.
The shooting happened about 2:28 p.m. in the 3800 block of North Francisco Avenue, said police News Affairs Office Daniel O'Brien. A man in his 40s was reportedly shot in the abdomen.
He was taken in unknown condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
O'Brien said police arrested a female suspect and recovered a weapon possibly used in the crime.
Area North detectives are investigating.
