(CBS) South Carolina defensive end Melvin Ingram will meet with the Bears either Wednesday or Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Ingram is one of the top defensive ends available in next week’s NFL Draft. At 6-2, 264 pounds, many view Ingram as a tweener who could play defensive end in a 4-3 scheme or outside linebacker in a 3-4.

The Bears would like to add another talented defensive end to line up opposite of Julius Peppers and there are a lot of signs pointing to the team going in that direction in the first round. Today, the Bears reportedly signed guard Chilo Rachal, making it less likely they’ll attack the offensive line early.

Other reports have the Bears hosting South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and Alabama linebacker Dont’a Hightower this week.
