Aurora Man Arrested On Felony In Filming Woman In College Bathroom

AURORA (CBS) -- An Aurora man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly filmed a woman in the bathroom of Waubonsee Community College's Aurora campus.

According to Kane County court records, Jason Whitson, 41, 100 block of West Galena Boulevard, was charged with felony unauthorized video recording and misdemeanor disorderly conduct Friday after he entered a women's restroom at the downtown campus at 18 S. River St.

Waubonsee Community College spokesman Jeff Noblitt said Whitson was not a student at the campus. Noblitt said Waubonsee campus police responded to the call for help in minutes and Whitson was arrested before he left the building.

"We believe our campus is a very safe place," Noblitt said.

Whitson's bail was set at $50,000 and he needed to post $5,000 to be released.

According to court records, Whitson pleaded guilty to solicitation of a sex act in 2007.

He pleaded guilty to public indecency in 1993, 1996 and 2002, according to court records.
