LAKE VILLA, Ill. (CBS) — All’s well that ends well for a far north suburban man and his dog.

As WBBM Newsradio’s Bernie Tafoya reports, Lake Villa police say around 2 a.m. Friday, a 44-year-old man went looking for his lost dog. Sometime after that, relatives called police to tell them that the man had himself become lost in a swampy area in the Sun Lake Forest Preserve.

Lake Villa police and fire crews, and other police departments, joined in the search for the man. He was found about an hour later, disoriented, but safe.

The dog returned home without any assistance, and was in good shape.
