Crash Blocks 3 Lanes On Northbound Tri-State

OAK BROOK, Ill. (CBS) -- Traffic was a mess for several hours Tuesday following a chain-reaction crash on the Tri-State Tollway.
As of 11 a.m., the northbound Tri-State (I-294) remained backed up near Roosevelt Road. Three left lanes were blocked from Roosevelt to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55.)
Three cars were involved in the crash just after 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The driver of one of the cars was reported in critical condition.
