Boy, 11, Killed In ATV Accident In Bartlett

BARTLETT, Ill. (CBS) -- A west suburban boy is dead after an accident with an ATV Thursday night.

As WBBM Newsradio's Nancy Harty reports, Samuel Sloan, 11, of the 100 block of South Circle Avenue in Bloomingdale, was struck by an ATV that a relative was riding near the 300 block of Apple Tree Lane in Bartlett, according to the Bartlett Fire Department.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says Samuel was taken to DuPage Central Hospital for his injuries, then airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 9:10 p.m. Thursday.
