Bank Robber Foiled Moments After Fleeing Branch
CHICAGO (CBS) – A robber who fled a bank branch with money Sunday evening was nabbed by quick-thinking Chicago police officers, the FBI says.
The robbery suspect entered the TCF Bank branch at 1220 South Ashland Ave. at 5:15 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller, implying he had a weapon, the FBI said in a news release.
He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, but was apprehended soon after by alert Chicago police officers.
No charges have yet been filed, the FBI said.
