Man Found Shot, Killed In Bronzeville
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was found fatally shot on the street early Monday in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood, police said.
Officers discovered a man unresponsive on the street about 1:20 a.m. in the 5000 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, according to police News Affairs.
The man had been shot in the chest, police said.
He was identified as 35-year-old Robert McNear of the 7100 block of South Eberhart Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
No one was in custody early Monday, but police said the homicide is possibly gang-related.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
