Konerko Named American League Player Of Week
(CBS) Paul Konerko was named American League Player of the Week Tuesday, marking the second time this season he has received the honor.
Konerko hit .583 (14-24) with four doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI in six games last week.
This marks the White Sox's third weekly honor this season. Philip Humber was named AL Player of the Week after throwing the 21st perfect game in major-league history on April 21 at Seattle.
The last White Sox player to win multiple weekly honors in a season was Magglio Ordonez in 2002.
