Blackhawks Sign 2011 Second Round Pick Clendening
(CBS) The Blackhawks agreed to terms with their second-round pick from the 2011 NHL Draft Thursday, signing defenseman Adam Clendening to a three-year entry-level deal.
Clendening, 19, spent the 2011-12 season playing at Boston University where he shared the lead among Hockey East defensemen with 33 points (four goals, 29 assists). The defenseman was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star and was one of only two sophomores selected to the All-New England Division I All-Star team.
Clendening was selected 36th overall in 2011 by the Blackhawks.
