$1 Wednesday Morning Movies

Beginning today (Wednesday, June 13), and continuing through Aug. 8, the Classic Cinemas movie theater chain is showing family-friendly movies on Wednesday mornings for a cost of only $1.

The films will be screened at 10 a.m. each Wednesday, using state-of-the art digital 4k projection and sound. Doors open at 9 a.m., and customers who come early can meet costume characters and take part in games.

The deal is available at the following theaters, all in the Chicago suburbs and surrounding counties:

• Charlestowne 18 Theatre, 3740 E. Main St. in St. Charles
• Cinema 12 Theatre, 100 Besinger Drive in Carpentersville
• Elk Grove Theatre, 1050 Elk Grove Town Center on Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove
• Fox Lake Theatre, 115 Towne Centre Lane in Fox Lake
• Lake Theatre, 1022 Lake St. in downtown Oak Park
• Lindo Theatre, 115 S. Chicago in downtown Freeport
• North Riverside Mall Theatre, 7501 West Cermak Rd. in North Riverside
• Ogden 6 Theatre, 1227 E. Ogden in Naperville
• Paramount Theatre, 213 N. Schuyler Ave. in downtown Kankakee
• Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave. in downtown Downers Grove
• Woodstock Theatre, 209 Main St. in downtown Woodstock
• York Theatre, 150 N. York St. in downtown Elmhurst

• June 13 - "Kung Fu Panda 2"
• June 20 - "Mr. Popper's Penguins"
• June 27 - "Puss in Boots"
• July 11 - "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked"
• July 18 - "Arthur Christmas"
• July 25 - "The Smurfs"
• August 1 - "Disney's Winnie the Pooh"
• August 8 - Surprise Movie
