Crap Of The Week: Coach K

I watched the Dream Team documentary recently and in it, Coach K commented about the practice game in which the under 21 team beat the Dream Team in their first outing against competition. The college kids, who were led by Bobby Hurley, Chris Weber and Penny Hardaway, beat the Dream Team that day. Turns out Chuck Daly threw the game as a motivational tool. Retelling the story, Coach K snickered when he mentioned some of the college kids believe they'd beaten the Dream Teamers fair and square. He said, 'Some kids believe in the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause.'

Some kids do - that's right, coach. Then they grow up. A lot of people also believed in the myth of Joe Paterno, that he was more than a football coach. Until it was proven he wasn't. However, you continue to believe the myth. So, if people believe in the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause, shut up and let them, because they're pretty harmless. Joe Paterno protected Jerry Sandusky, the tickle monster, which means JoePa was just that - a myth. Coach K, who ya crappin?
