Search Goes On For Man Who Stabbed Two In Oak Forest

OAK FOREST, Ill. (STMW) - The search continued Friday for a man who stabbed two 17-year-old boys late Wednesday in southwest suburban Oak Forest.

The boys told police they were stabbed about 10:15 p.m. by a man with long hair, Police Chief Greg Anderson said. They waited an hour before police were alerted, he said.

"We don't know why. We didn't find out until an hour later when a third party, a friend of theirs, called us," Anderson said.

The stabbing took place near Long Avenue and 155th Street, Anderson said.

One boy was stabbed once in his side and twice in a leg, Anderson said. The other boy was stabbed twice in a leg, he said. Both were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.

The victims were "generally on the uncooperative side," Anderson said. "I'm assuming this is a personal attack, that they knew each other somehow."
