Bears Sign RB Lorenzo Booker, Release Alexander

(CBS) The Bears released running back Alvester Alexander Tuesday and replaced him with running back Lorenzo Booker, who agreed to a one-year contract.

Booker was originally drafted in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Dolphins. The Florida State product spent the last two season with Vikings, primarily as a kick returner.

Alexander was undrafted rookie from Wyoming.
