Highs Just In Low 80s With Occasional Shower Or Storm

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The sweltering heat from just two days ago has been cut down to seasonable and comfortable temperatures in the 70s, although occasional showers and storms are likely to persist through the day.

A cold front is hovering over the area, hence the temperatures that have been dramatically reduced since Wednesday – where the temperature topped 100 degrees in some places. Meanwhile, isolated showers and thunderstorms have been popping up through the day and will continue to do so.

The high for the day is 82 degrees, with a slight storm chance for the rest of the day. Overnight, the low drops to 68 degrees, with an isolated shower expected.

The high for Saturday is 84, Sunday 85, Monday 87, Tuesday 89, Wednesday 87 and Thursday 85.
