'Real World' Star Joey Kovar Found Dead Near Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A reality television star was found dead in suburban Chicago, and drugs or alcohol may be to blame.

Joey Kovar, who starred on MTV's "The Real World: Hollywood", was found unconscious at a friend's home in the 9800 block of Sayre Avenue in Chicago Ridge.

Kovar, 29, a former bodybuilder, model and wrestler, struggled with addiction for years. On the "Real World", the left the show to enter rehab. He then returned later in the season for one show, only to move out.

TMZ reported that Kovar was discovered by a female friend early this morning who noticed blood coming out of Kovar's ears and nose.

Kovar, who lived in Evergreen Park, also appeared on "Celebrity Rehab."

Police said there is nothing to indicate foul play. Kovar's body was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

In Kovar's final taped segment before he left the 'Real World' in 2008, he said: I don't want to drink anymore. I don't want to use drugs anymore. I want to stay clean and stay sober and I want to live a long time."

"My next step is death, and I don't want to die."
