Illinois GOP Fashion Statement: Fire Madigan Buttons
TAMPA, Fla. (CBS) -- So what's the fashionable Illinois delegate wearing at the Republican National Convention?
According to the head of Illinois' Republican Party, it's a button hostile to the state's Democratic chairman.
WBBM Newsradio Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports, in every gift bag given to Illinois' delegates there's a white button that says "Save Illinois/Fire Madigan."

State GOP chairman Pat Brady is behind that.
It's of course a reference to powerful Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.
Brady not only urges delegates to wear the button—and many do in Tampa—but also try to get the button on national television.
Brady has also launched a website called www.FireMadigan.com, which markets t-shirts, mugs, coasters and even pet clothing emblazoned with the slogan.
"They are going to be the hottest, trendiest thing in Illinois," Brady said.
Or so he hopes.
