3 Suspects Held In Grayslake Home Invasion

GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (CBS) -- Police have arrested three suspects, but are still searching for one more, in a home invasion and robbery in Grayslake overnight.

Police responded at 10:38 p.m. Friday to a home invasion call in the 1000 block of Manchester Circle in Grayslake. The caller said three suspects had entered the home – two of them armed with guns and the third with a bat – and robbed the residents.

Police said a vehicle was seen racing away from the home. Officers chased the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, until it crashed into an electric pole near Atkinson and Brea Loch roads.

At that point, police say four suspects hopped out of the car and started running.

Three of the suspects were captured and were in police custody early Saturday. The fourth escaped, and is believed to have fled the area.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.
