Paul Konerko To Have Wrist Surgery

(CBS) Paul Konerko will have wrist surgery when the season comes to a close, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The White Sox first baseman has been periodically bothered by a bone chip in his wrist that has been flushed a few times over the last couple of seasons.

"I look forward to getting it done," Konerko told the newspaper. "I've never had surgery except on my wisdom teeth. They said it's minor (surgery) ... but you always worry about hands and feet."

Konerko said the recovery time is anywhere between three to eight weeks.
